A city that honors its veterans
Hendersonville residents drive Vietnam Veterans Boulevard every day. The highway got its name in 1987 through the work of the Sumner County chapter of Vietnam Veterans of America, and signs along it carry the names of Sumner County residents who died in that war. Respect for service runs deep here. Don Hane served two tours in the U.S. Navy, including Desert Storm, and he’s proud to bring a veteran-owned company to Sumner County.
Lake roofs and suburban roofs
Homes on the Old Hickory Lake peninsulas, like Indian Lake Peninsula and Bluegrass Estates, sit under big hardwoods and take wind off the water. Shaded roofs there collect moss and valley debris, and gutters clog fast. On those homes we check tree contact, valleys and gutters first.
Away from the water, much of Hendersonville was built from the 1970s on, around Main Street, Drakes Creek and Saundersville Road. Many of those homes are on their second or third roof, and some were overlaid. Newer communities north of Vietnam Veterans Boulevard have bigger roofs with more valleys and wall flashing. Whatever we find, you get photos and a written estimate, and any decking work is done by written change order you approve first.
The 2023 tornado and the 2026 ice
On December 9, 2023, an EF-2 tornado crossed Old Hickory Lake near the dam and moved through Hendersonville roughly along Main Street, damaging dozens of homes and snapping hundreds of trees. In January 2026, about half an inch of freezing rain brought limbs down on lakefront roofs. After a storm we photograph the roof and give you a written report you can send with a claim. The claim stays between you and your insurance company.
Inside city limits, permits go through the City of Hendersonville Building and Codes department. We check what your job needs and pull any permit required. See our Hendersonville roofing page and emergency roofing for active leaks.
