About Roof Troops Roofing

I was born on Dyess Air Force Base in Abilene, Texas. My father was Air Force; I followed by enlisting in the Navy. By the time I left active duty, I’d done two tours, seen action during Desert Storm, and spent time in the Balkans and the Adriatic. Service wasn’t a job for me. It was how I understood what it meant to be accountable to other people. You show up. You do what you said you would. You don’t leave a mess for someone else to clean up.
After the Navy, I studied civil and environmental engineering at Tennessee State University. Construction had always been part of my life, and the engineering background gave me a way to understand what was actually happening structurally when a roof failed. I wasn’t guessing at the problem. I knew what to look for, why it mattered, and what the right fix was.

I settled in Middle Tennessee to be near my daughter. That’s the whole story. I didn’t pick this market off a spreadsheet or follow a franchise model into a territory. I live here. I drive these roads, shop at these stores, and there’s a real chance the homeowner I’m quoting is someone I’ll see again at the grocery store. That kind of accountability is not something you manufacture in a pitch deck.

I started Roof Troops because I’d seen too many homeowners get sold work they didn’t need, or worse, get told everything was fine when it wasn’t. Neither one is acceptable. My promise to every customer is the same: I’ll look at your roof, I’ll show you what I found, and I’ll tell you what it actually needs. If it’s fine, I’ll tell you it’s fine. You decide what to do from there, on your timeline, with no pressure from me.
