What storms have hit McMinnville roofs?

On April 11, 2008, the National Weather Service surveyed a high-end EF-1 tornado that ran about 15 miles, from 11 miles west of McMinnville to 5 miles northeast of town. The path was up to 250 yards wide, with winds of 100 to 110 mph. Dozens of homes were damaged, and several had major damage.

Wind is the regular threat. On October 12, 2022, the McMinnville airport recorded a 64 mph gust as a storm line passed through. On May 8, 2024, straight-line winds up to 80 mph hit Morrison, in Warren County, snapping trees and damaging barn and outbuilding roofs.
