Siding Installation and Repair in Murfreesboro and Middle Tennessee
Your siding keeps rain, wind and pests out of your walls. When it cracks, warps or comes loose, water can get behind it and damage the wood underneath. Roof Troops installs and repairs siding across Middle Tennessee with our own crews, and every job starts with a free inspection.

Signs you need new siding
- Cracked, split or broken panels
- Panels that are loose, warped, buckled or bulging
- Holes or dents from hail, wind-blown debris or a falling limb
- Soft or rotting boards, especially near the ground or under gutters
- Mold, mildew or water stains on the siding or on inside walls
- Faded or chalky color that no longer cleans up
- Peeling paint or bubbling on the inside walls behind the siding
Not sure if it needs repair or replacement? That is what the free inspection is for. We show you photos of what we find and tell you plainly what we would do.
Storm and hail damage to siding
Middle Tennessee storms do not stop at the roof. Hail can crack and chip vinyl and leave dents and marks on other siding, and strong wind can pull panels loose or tear them off. A storm that damaged your roof often damaged your siding and gutters too, so we check all three on the same visit.
If you plan to file an insurance claim, we photograph and document the damage and can help you through the process. See our storm damage repair and insurance claim help pages for how that works.
Siding materials we install
Vinyl siding
The most common choice for Middle Tennessee homes. Vinyl comes in many colors and profiles, does not need painting, and cleans up with a garden hose.
Fiber cement siding
Fiber cement, such as James Hardie siding, is a heavier board made from cement and wood fibers. It looks like painted wood, stands up well to hail and wind, and does not rot or attract insects.
We help you pick a color and style that works with your roof and brick.
How it works
- Free inspection. We look at your siding, trim, roof and gutters and take photos.
- Written estimate. You get a clear, written scope of work and your options, with no pressure.
- Our own crews do the work. We remove damaged siding, repair the wall underneath when needed, and install the new siding and trim.
- Final walkthrough. We clean up, walk the job with you, and make sure you are happy before we call it done.
Roof, siding and gutters together
Siding, roofing and gutters work as one system to keep water out of your home. If your roof is near the end of its life, ask about doing roof replacement and siding at the same time. Overflowing gutters are a common cause of stained and rotting siding, so we also look at your gutters during the inspection.

Siding FAQ
Do you repair siding or only replace it?
Both. If the damage is limited to a few panels and matching panels are available, a repair may be all you need. If the damage is widespread or the wall underneath is rotting, replacement is usually the better choice. We show you photos and explain the options at your free inspection.
Can hail damage siding?
Yes. Hail can crack, chip and dent siding, and wind can pull panels loose. Damage is often easiest to see on the side of the house that faced the storm. If you had roof damage from a storm, have your siding checked too.
Will insurance pay for storm-damaged siding?
It depends on your policy and what the adjuster finds. We document the damage with photos and can help you through the claim process, but your insurance company makes the coverage decision.
Which is better, vinyl or fiber cement?
Vinyl costs less up front and needs very little upkeep. Fiber cement is heavier, looks more like painted wood, and holds up better to hail and impact. We walk you through both at your inspection so you can choose what fits your home and budget.
Do you use subcontractors?
No. Our own crews do the work, so the people you meet are the people responsible for the job.
